About IFRR

What is Integrative Functional Recovery Room (IFRR)?

IFRR is a collaborative medical and wellness clinic focused on understanding the root of your symptoms and guiding your next steps. Our team combines hands-on care, functional medicine, and lifestyle-based approaches so patients receive clear answers and coordinated care rather than disconnected appointments.

What makes IFRR different from other clinics?

We prioritize time, education, and a clear plan.
Appointments are longer than typical healthcare visits, and providers communicate with each other when appropriate. The goal is not just symptom relief, but helping you understand what is happening in your body and how to move forward.

Your Appointment

What happens at my first visit?

Your provider will spend time learning about your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, stress, sleep, activity levels, and goals. A physical or functional assessment may be performed depending on your concern.
You will leave with an explanation of what is likely happening, what needs to be addressed, and the recommended next steps. Treatment may be provided during the first visit when appropriate.

How long are appointments?

Most visits are between 30 minutes and 60 minutes, depending on the type of appointment and care required.

Do I need a referral to book?

No referral is required. You can book directly with any provider at IFRR.

I don’t know which provider to choose. What should I do?

That is very common. You do not need to figure it out beforehand. Book with any provider and we will guide you to the most appropriate care or coordinate internally if another practitioner would be more helpful.

Will I receive hands-on treatment?

If appropriate for your condition and comfort level, care may include manual therapy, joint or soft-tissue treatment, rehabilitation strategies, lifestyle guidance, nutrition support, supplementation, or education-based care. Some visits are consultation-focused.

Can I book just for guidance or a plan?

Yes. Some patients attend specifically to understand their symptoms, review imaging or diagnoses, and receive direction on what to do next.

Imaging & Collaboration

Do you order or review imaging?

When clinically appropriate, providers may recommend or review imaging and explain what the findings mean in relation to your symptoms.

Do you work with my doctor or other providers?

Yes. With your consent, we can communicate with your physician, pharmacist, physiotherapist, therapist, trainer, or other healthcare providers to help coordinate care.

My tests or imaging were normal, but I still feel unwell. Can you help?

Yes. Many functional and musculoskeletal conditions do not clearly appear on imaging or bloodwork. Our assessment focuses on patterns, lifestyle factors, and how your body is functioning as a whole.

Insurance & Payment

Do you direct bill insurance?

Yes. We can submit claims to many extended health insurance providers on your behalf when possible.

Am I still responsible for knowing my coverage?

Yes. Each plan is different, and patients are responsible for understanding their individual benefits, coverage limits, and any co-payments or deductibles required by their insurance provider.

Are services covered by insurance?

Most extended health plans include chiropractic and naturopathic coverage, but this varies by policy. We recommend confirming details directly with your insurer before your visit.

Can I still come if I don’t have insurance?

Yes. Many patients attend for education, answers, and a clear plan even without benefits.
